Supporting early childhood educators to drive education for sustainability

Powerful for our children’s future, simple for educators.

Together we can rewrite the story for future generations

Working in early childhood education, we have an incredible opportunity to grow sustainable 21st century citizens and it doesn’t have to be more work! Turning everyday play into learning for a sustainable future is easier than you think and can be deeply fulfilling.

The rollout of the Early Years Learning Framework 2.0 (EYLF 2.0) is a great opportunity to reset, leave what hasn’t been serving us behind, and move forward with what helps children and their educators thrive in the 21st century.

It’s a great opportunity to re-imagine education for sustainability in early childhood to be holistic, hopeful, and cup-filling. To thrive within the limits of our planet, we fundamentally need to change the way we think, act and innovate.

We need to grow children's hope in the future and their ability to:

  • Imagine a circular and regenerative world;

  • Grow skills, dispositions, competencies and knowledge required to bring that world to life;

  • Grow their confidence and agency in taking action towards the change they want to see in the world no matter their strengths, dispositions and preferences.

And naturally, this starts in early childhood. As educators, you know this and you also know what a tremendous role you can play in shaping the dispositions and worldviews of our future leaders.

We understand  that adding sustainability to your already long must-do list can be overwhelming. But we’ve got good news! It doesn’t have to be more work and it can be deeply fulfilling for all educators. Let us show you how to leverage the whole of the EYLF 2.0 to turn everyday play into learning for a sustainable future.

Are you looking to:

  • Nurture sustainable 21st century citizens able to drive the change they want to see in the world?

  • Implement education for sustainability at your centre in line with the EYLF 2.0 and the NQSs in ways that supports meaningful and enduring change without adding to your and educators’ workloads?

  • Bring your staff on the education for sustainability journey in ways that resonate with them and make the most of their individual strengths, interests and preferences? and

  • Be recognised as a leader in education for sustainability in early childhood?

If yes, then let’s work together!

Professional development, advisory and mentoring that inspires and empowers

Let us work with you to engage your whole team and take sustainability beyond gardening, nature play and recycling.

We empower educators to turn many play experiences into learning for a sustainable future by helping them:

  • Align behind a shared and exciting holistic vision for sustainability at the centre

  • Find unique and joyful ways to leverage the team’s strengths and experience to support sustainability

  • Put into practice many principles, practices and outcomes in EYLF 2.0 to nurture sustainable 21st century citizens

Dorothée’s course covers all key learning areas of development and includes EYLF outcomes relevant to sustainability/regenerative practices. I have loved the focus of Indigenous perspectives and taking inspiration from nature. Thank you Dorothée for everything you have taught me. It has changed my life and my teaching practices forever in the most wonderful way.
